Construction on a new student residence at UW is set to start this week.
An official ceremony will be held Tuesday afternoon from 2-3 pm.
The new building is expected to house 500 students with the first students moving in before the 2017 fall term.
The University says this will allow them to continue to offer their first-year housing guarantee for undergraduate students.
